Now you can go ahead and add any other text or images around it to finish off the look youвЂ™re going for. If youвЂ™re following these steps and the result doesnвЂ™t look quite right, try selecting your objects in the reverse order. The image and text should now be combined in one object, like in the screenshot below. Select both the image and the rectangle, and then click on Merge Shapes and select Subtract. If you donвЂ™t need the image and the text to be a single object, then you can stop here. If you donвЂ™t like the part of the image thatвЂ™s showing through, move the rectangle around until youвЂ™re satisfied with the result.
